Polly, our new Apprentice.

Hi, I’m Polly, Cataphract’s first EVER apprentice. I joined in November 2020 during the COVID19 pandemic. Although the pandemic brought some challenges, it didn’t stop me from getting a job!

I had been looking to apply for an apprenticeship for a few months. I knew I wanted to do an apprenticeship rather than either going to sixth form or college because I much prefer learning on the job. I first saw the advert for the job on the .GOV website. It was for a Business Administration Level 3 course which was the exact course I was wanting to do.

My job role is a Business Administrator. My day-to-day tasks involve working with the pre-employment screening and criminal record teams managing the status’ of the criminal record checks. I also communicate directly with customers about their account, answering any DBS queries and email clients may have relating to DBS checks. I also register new clients with accounts, enter data, and assist the vetting and reference managers.

The whole team are so supportive and are always happy to answer any questions I have. I love working for Cataphract and couldn’t have asked for a better team!
